The campus has been designed by a team of 32 architects from different parts of the world including United States, Britain, Germany and Singapore. The under construction campus has secured 65 points from GRIHA for inculcating the following points in the building structure:

  • Sustainable site selection and planning.
  • Conservation and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Environmentally sound building operation and maintenance and innovation.
  • Use minimum conventional energy to power.
  • Use efficient equipment to meet its lighting, air-conditioning and other needs.
  • Maximize use of renewable sources of energy.
  • Use efficient waste and water management practices.

The university will also set up a solar park to generate power and a dam will also be constructed on the premises to conserve rainwater.

CUJ vice-chancellor D K Khating suggests that centers of learning must be green. "Eco-friendly environment and green campus will make our students more mentally agile. The polluted environment has a bearing on students' concentration and overall learning."
